Mick West Duo

Friday 26 May 2017

Our dear friend and founder of the club, Mick, returns for a night of wonderful singing and banter. Now rightfully regarded as one of Scotland's finest singers, Mick will be joined by his long-time accompanist Frank McLaughlin, whose skilful and sympathetic arrangements gel perfectly with Mick's presentation. A wonderful night in prospect!

Tich Frier

Friday 30 June 2017

We have managed to lure Tich out of retirement at short notice for this date. A big voice from a wee fella, Tich brings a great repertoire and humour to every gig. It's been a while since we've seen him at Partick and we're delighted to have him back.

Singers' Evening

Friday 28 July 2017

Come along to sing, play or just to listen, as resident singers and visitors put on a great night for us.

Ella Munro

Friday 25 August 2017

Ella has previously visited and delighted the club with her singing. An ex-pupil of Plockton Music Academy, studying under Mick West, and now attending the Glasgow Conservatoire, Ella will appear as part of a trio - this is sure to be a great night.

Wendy Weatherby Band

Friday 29 September 2017

Wendy is one of Scotland's foremost interpreters of Traditional and contemporary song. As well as being a superb singer, Wendy is a first-call session cellist who has appeared on numerous albums, as well as her own. She brings with her an awesome band of players - Stevie Lawrence on guitar and bouzouki, Fiona Cuthill on fiddle and Sandy Brechin on box and keyboards. Another brilliant night to come!

Pauline Alexander and Sandy Stanage

Friday 27 October 2017

Tonight, we have the wonderful voice of Pauline Alexander, accompanied by well-known guitar virtuoso Sandy Stanage. The duo have been making waves on the folk scene of late, and this will be a brilliant evening!

Peter Nardini

Friday 24 November 2017

We are pleased to present Peter as this month's guest. Largely undervalued as one of the country's national treasures, Peter's songs are works of genius that can make you laugh, cry, rethink, or all three in the space of one song. A true Renaissance man and a wonderful entertainer to boot. Don't miss it!

No Club this month

Friday 29 December 2017

See you in January!

Rachel Hamer Band

Friday 26 January 2018

Rachel is a powerful and emotive singer from Whitley Bay, in the North East of England. The band, comprising Grace Smith (fiddle, vocals, clog dancing), Graeme Armstrong (guitar, vocals) and Sam Partridge (flute, piano) sets the backdrop for Rachel to create a moving and intricate sound, combining their passion for traditional tunes with Rachel's extensive repertoire (courtesy of having been born and bred on the local Traditional folk scene) - innovative and exciting music not to be missed.

Maeve Mckinnon

Friday 23 February 2018

One of the country's best singers in both Gaelic and Scots, Maeve brings a freshness of approach to both her material and her arrangements. Her voice is just stunning and her rapport with the audience ensures that a great night will be had by all.
This date has been rearranged from June 2017

Archie McAllister

Friday 30 March 2018

In my opinion, and one that is shared by many musicians in Scotland, Archie is the best fiddler in the country. His technique, feeling and vigour are second to none (ask any Skipinnish fans). This will be a stunning evening.
